OUR MISSION
We are saddled with a mission to achieve the following:
- Debunk the myths surrounding albinism.
- Educate persons with albinism, parents of children with albinism, the school milieu, and the general public about the condition and challenges associated with it.
- Promote unity and solidarity amongst Persons With Albinism
OUR PILLARS
EDUCATION
As an NGO dedicated to promoting awareness and education about albinism, we believe that it is essential to educate people about this genetic condition to combat the discrimination and stigma that people with albinism may face. We educate people through our events and social media campaigns.
ADVOCACY
We are dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of people living with albinism, we believe that it is crucial to work towards a world that is more inclusive and accepting of diversity. We stand with people living with albinism in their fight against discrimination, stigmatization, and violence.
EMPOWERMENT
We believe in promoting their rights and supporting them to achieve their full potential. We also believe that people living with albinism should be able to live their lives without fear of discrimination, stigma, or violence. In order to help our beneficiaries live a holistic life, we provide empowerment training and support them with umbrellas, sunscreen creams, and other important needs.

Previous Events
Unravel (School Sensitisation Campaign)
We desire a school environment void of stigmatisation and discrimination plus an inclusive teaching-learning process for students and pupils with albinism in order to ensure better performance and social cohesion. Teachers, school authorities and classmates were the target of the school tour. We handed out our educational bilingual ( in English and French) calendars bearing meaningful information about albinism. Teachers were educated on the vision limitations and skin sensitivity of persons with albinism while classmates were urged to drop the habit of derogatory name calling as they deserve respect just like every other person.Pamper to Protect
BTD's desire for awareness, equality and inclusion for persons with albinism engineered the creation of the documentary titled 'Pamper to Protect' under the sponsorship of the Canadian High Commission of Cameroon through the CFLI project. It brought to light ills committed against persons with albinism in a bid effect change and also debunked myths surrounding albinism. It premiered on Saturday February 25 at Fini Hotel Bobende-Limbe.
